Self-Driving UX

The current paradigm of interacting with computers is omnidirectional. We provide precise instructions to the computer via code or some other user interface. Then the computer executes our instructions exactly as we provided them.
In my app, Drippi, users want to automate messages to a list of twitter accounts. To achieve this, they must complete a precise set of steps: provide the link to a tweet or an account they want to import leads from - apply filters - save the list - write a message template - create a schedule for the automation - and so on. They need to tell the system exactly what they want it to do and exactly how to do it.
Todays best applications are those that A) follow your instructions the most precisely and B) provide the most intuitive interfaces to help you provide those instructions.
Now lets imagine you have an employee with those same qualities. You'd probably fire them immediately. Why? Because, is your best employee the one who does exactly what you tell them to do - no more and no less? Absolutely not. Your best employees are the ones who know what your thinking before you think it, can see around corners, and execute above and beyond your expectations. This is the future of great software.
The future of UX is software that works with you to achieve your goals not for you.
Lets go back to the Drippi.ai example. What would this look like?
Imagine if you could start by telling the system your goal. For example "I want to find customers for my B2B software company". The system could then help you work backwards from that goal to help you achieve it. Maybe it would start by asking you more questions like: What does your software do? What is your unique offer. Who is your ideal customer? Once it had enough information it could create a highly specific plan of action and begin to execute on it for you. It could pick a target lead source and filter leads for you. Then set up a campaign and work with you to write the perfect outreach template. It could help you modify and improve your campaigns based on realtime feedback.
Obviously it wouldn't make sense for this interaction to happen in a linear chatGPT style interface. Imagine wanting to toggle something on or off but having to type out instructions to do so.
Some form of conversational system will be required, but certain visual aspects of traditional UI will remain essential. J.A.R.V.I.S. anyone?
I can't say i'm certain what the future of UX will look like. But I hope its not the current state of chatgpt.com.
